Creation of new regions and division and re-division
of certain regions into constituencies: Regional Councils Act, 1992
SCHEDULE II
The Schedule to Proclamation No. 25 of 6 September
1992 is amended as follows: 1. The item “REGION NO. 1: KUNENE REGION” is
amended -
(a) by the substitution for the paragraph “Opuwo
Constituency” of the following paragraphs:
“Opuwo Urban Constituency
Beginning at the point on the common boundary
between the Epupa, Opuwo Rural and Opuwo Urban Constituencies with coordinates
latitude 18 ̊00’00” south and longitude 13 ̊40’41” east, thence southwards to
the point with coordinates latitude 18 ̊10’40” south and longitude 13 ̊42’34”
east, thence south-eastwards to the point in the middle of the D3710 road with
coordinates latitude 18 ̊17’14” south and longitude 13 ̊53’09” east, thence
eastwards to the common point between the Opuwo Urban, Opuwo Rural and Ruacana
Constituencies with coordinates latitude 18 ̊13’39” south and longitude 14
̊17’49” east, thence northwards along the existing boundary between the Opuwo
Urban and Ruacana Constituencies to the common point between the Epupa, Opuwo
Urban and Ruacana Constituencies with coordinates latitude 18 ̊00’14” south and
longitude 14 ̊16’44” east, thence eastwards to the point of beginning.; and Beginning
at the point on the common boundary between the Epupa, Opuwo Rural and Opuwo
Urban Constituencies with coordinates latitude 18 ̊00’00” south and longitude
13 ̊40’41” east, thence southwards to the point with coordinates latitude 18
̊10’40” south and longitude 13 ̊42’34” east, thence south-eastwards to the
point with coordinates latitude 18 ̊17’14” south and longitude 13 ̊53’09” east,
thence eastwards to the common point between the Opuwo Urban, Opuwo Rural and
Ruacana Constituencies, with coordinates latitude 18 ̊13’39” south and
longitude 14 ̊17’49” east, thence southwards along the existing boundary
between the Ruacana and Opuwo Rural Constituencies to the common point between
the Opuwo Rural, Ruacana and Sesfontein Constituencies, with coordinates
latitude 19 ̊00’21” south and longitude 14 ̊22’13” east, thence westwards
following the existing boundary between the Opuwo Rural and Sesfontein
Constituencies, with coordinates latitude 19 ̊00’30” south and longitude 13
̊18’54” east, thence northwards to the point with coordinates latitude 18
̊45’27” south and longitude 13 ̊14’40” east, thence westwards in a straight
line to the point on the coast on the Atlantic Ocean, with coordinates latitude
18 ̊44’40” south and longitude 12 ̊19’31” east, thence generally northwards
along the Atlantic Ocean to the point with coordinates latitude 18 ̊00’11”
south and longitude 11 ̊48’37” east, thence eastwards in a straight line to the
point of beginning.;
